Micro Blading / Ombre Brows

What is Cosmetic Tattooing or Semi-Permanent Makeup?

Cosmetic Tattooing, also called 'Micropigmentation', is a popular well-tolerated cosmetic treatment involving the controlled insertion of safe colour pigments into the dermis layer of the skin, instantly improving appearance, facial definition and in most instances, a long lasting effect. Basically this is a cosmetic treatment that defines your eyesbrowslips and cheeks with a soft, natural appearance that looks, and stays looking, like perfectly applied make-up or the most subtle of enhancements. All cosmetic tattooing will 'fade', or metabolise, to some degree over time which is due to a number of individual factors.

Note: it is not legal in Australia to advertise these procedures as 'permanent'.  Cosmetic Tattooing at this advanced level is all about Experience, Skill, Trust, Passion, Compassion, Science and Art!  It is not just an extension of beauty therapy.

Cosmetic tattooing is especially beneficial for people who:

  • Simply want to enhance their current features

  • Are unable to apply makeup

  • Have poor eyesight

  • Are busy and don't have time to spend on their makeup

  • Have unsteady hands

  • Suffer from eye allergies caused by makeup

  • Are on-stage and in the entertainment/modelling industry

  • Play sport and don't want to worry about 'sweating off' or re-applying makeup

  • Have thinning or no eyebrows

  • Have had a facelift or breast surgery

Microblading:

Microblading is a type of cosmetic tattooing where pigment is implanted into your skin in small, hair-like strokes that mimic natural brows. If you have sparse brows, microblading will make them look fuller and perfectly even. It’s a method that allows complete customisation and remodelling.

Our high-end European techniques can make your eyebrows look beautiful and natural with a sophisticated look, which is normally what our clients are going for.

AFTER-CARE

When you’ve had your brows microbladed, it’s important to protect them from all kinds of moisture – including sweat. If you experience some itching and redness during the first few days after the procedure, grape seed oil applied within 7 days after treatment will help alleviate it.Oil usually applied in the evening before sleep, although some clients may need to apply it twice per day to moisturised. Sweet almond oil, jojoba, coconut oil are good substitutes, but Vaseline or petroleum jelly should be avoided. Note: your eyebrows will look a little dark at first, but the colour will fade 30-40%.

Ombre Brows/Powder Effect

The Ombre Brows treatment implants pigment in the eyebrow area to create the look of defined eyebrows. This technique involves implanting pigment in a series of tiny dots throughout the eyebrow area. Powder effect brows are ideal for enhancing your natural colour or shape, as they help define what is already there. This method of eyebrow tattooing is the most long lasting, as the pigment is implanted more deeply into the skin. Beauty Treats uses high-end European techniques that make your eyebrows look beautiful and natural with a very sophisticated look. If longevity is important to you when choosing a cosmetic tattoo, powder effect brows could be the right choice for you!

Day 2. They look very dark, bold and thicker. Colour will be reddish and still quite tender.

Day 3-4. The pain and tenderness will start to subside. They still look dark and thick.

Day 5. The brows are getting itchy, and a thick layer of scabbing may form (WARN clients not to pick the scab)

Day 5-7. This is the scary time period when the serious scabbing will start and begin to peel away from the skin.

Day 7-10. The scabs will probably be flaked off or flaking off on their own by this point the brows seem way too light or even grey and missing in spots.

Day 14-28. Healing almost complete. The colour and definition will return at this point. The colour is beginning to even out and look more natural and brow-like. Combo brow typically lasts 1 – 2 years depending on skin type and care
